Grassroots Advocate Program
The InfantSEE & Children's Vision Grassroots Advocate Program works to increase the impact of InfantSEE in underrepresented areas, ensuring that eye and vision care become an integral part of infant wellness, improving a child's quality of life. The advocate for each state connects with parents and caregivers so that they become better informed and invested in their infants’ health. The state advocate also connects with doctors in their state to increase the number of InfantSEE providers in their community.
The Grassroots Advocate Program increases the impact of InfantSEE by state advocates working with their state affiliate to:
- Develop and implement awareness initiatives, including social media toolkits for doctors to reach underserved populations
- Engage with trusted community organizations (i.e. pediatrician's office, early head start) to connect the program with families
- Advance recruitment efforts and build the pipeline/availability of InfantSEE providers
